The Testimony of Evangelist Andrea Watts
Even though Andrea was raised in a spirit filled environment by a loving family, at the age of 21 after relocating to Washington DC, she became a victim of drugs, alcohol, depression, and found herself in an abusive marriage. After a period of healing, she remarried at age 25 to Benjamin F. Watts and through this union a child was born. She really thought life was changing for the better; however, not so life started going down hill. She went into a state of depression. FOr two weeks, she ate and drink nothing, did not go to work, and would not communicate with anyone. Lying in bed, fed up with life, she ask herself, "How did I get into this mess again and how can I get out of this state?" At that time, the Lord reminded her that noon day prayer was going on at her church St. Paul Temple Church of God In Christ. However satan told her, "by the time you get there it will be over." But God was more powerful as he reminded her you can pray right now. As she got up, fell down on her knees, and began to pray, she was reminded of Jacob wrestling with the Angel. She began to cry out; I won't turn loose until you bless me. At that time, Andrea experienced something miraculous. A bright light appeared in her bedroom and a voice spoke to her "Weeping may endure for a night but joy cometh in the morning. Get up, wash up, and go to St. Paul I have called you into the ministry. Andrea immediately accepted the calling of God on her life and enrolled in the Charles Harrison Mason Bible College graduating as Val Victorian. God started blessing. She and her husband adopted two children, snatching them out of the hands of the enemy and he immediately started attacking wher it hurt the most. Her husband became an alcoholic and cocaine addict throwing her into a co-dependency lifestyle. Still trying to keep her family together, she lost her home and relocated to Norfolk. Starting over, she purchased a home, went back to school, receieved her degree in Computer Science, and got another job. But the enemy was still seeking to destroy. She lost another home, brain chemistry went off, and her husband decided to check into Tidewater Psychiatric Institue leaving the family without a head and covering. Now a single parent with three children to support and no father in the household, she still held on to the Promise of God; "Weeping My Endure for a Night But Joy Cometh in the Morning." Still looking for the joy, Andrea was led to fast and pray asking God to save her husband and restore her family. Seeking God's direction, she grabbed hold to a 15 year old vision of her husband preaching the Gospel. After going through almost ten years, the vision came to past her husband accepted the call into the ministry. After many years of serving God, He brought her into His prophetic destiny, birthing out "Step N 2 Your Blessings Ministry". God still was not finished. He still had a greater work for her. In December 2005 God blessing her to become debt free. In March 2006 God spoke to her, "It's time to write a book to release His people from barren lives." Evangelist Andrea Watts is married to Elder Benjamin Watts (founder of UTurn2Jesus Substance Abuse Ministry) -- now an intricate part of New Community Temple Church of God In Christ under the anointed leadership of Bishop Ted Thomas, Sr., Prelate of Virginia One. She lives in Virginia Beach, Her ministry is simply: Serving God's people by living and releasing them through prayer and fasting from being a substance abuse and/or co-dependent victim to servants of God experiencing abundant life and victory.
